I can’t believe it is already time for Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-2026 school year( If your kiddo is turning 5 before August then they are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten if you have questions about this or specific situations reach out to your district as they will have the answers! Enroll Online Kindergarten and New Student Registration for 2025-26 School YearSelect the registration link below to begin the enrollment process. After you complete the registration form, you will receive an email within one to two working days with instructions on how to complete the online enrollment process. Registration is not complete until all enrollment forms are completed and required documents are uploaded.
You will need to upload the following information to register your child for school:
Proof of Age & Name: All children must be at least 5 years old by August 31 of the current school year. This may be a birth certificate, hospital certificate, adoption record, affidavit from a parent, passport, previously verified school records, or any other documents permitted by law showing date of birth and name.
Proof of Residence: This may be a utility bill (water, electrical, garbage), rental/lease statement, income tax return statement, proof of home ownership (including a mortgage statement), or any official document showing both your name and address.

Once logged in, click on ‘New Student Registration’ and add your student. Once your student is added, you’ll be asked to complete demographic, family, medical, and emergency information. Once completed, review your completed registration and click ‘Submit’.
Enrolling more than one child? We recommend you complete and submit one child’s enrollment and then start another. This will allow you to copy selected family information, which will save you time!

Steps to Enroll in Kindergarten
You can enroll online at your convenience after the registration window opens (typically March 1 for the upcoming school year). You also have the option to visit your boundary school to enroll online using a school device.
Step 1: To enroll your student in kindergarten, you must complete an enrollment form. You can do this online by visiting our main enrollment page: www.rsd.edu/enroll.

Step 2: Once the enrollment online forms are submitted, your child’s school will contact requesting you provide the several documents and records to complete your child’s enrollment
Step 3: The requested records and documents can be dropped off at the school’s main office during regular school hours or by emailing the school’s secretaries. The needed documents are listed below:
Age- and name-verifying documents (i.e. birth certificate; previously verified school records or any other government documents; a religious, hospital, or physician’s certificate showing date of birth; an adoption record, etc.)
Medically verified immunization record (one of the following):
Print out from a state immunization registry (WA Immunization Information System (IIS) or MyIR)
Health care provider signed and dated immunization card
Clinic printed immunization records
Proof of residency (utility bill, lease agreement, etc.)
Step 4: Get ready for kindergarten! You can start to familiarize yourself with important district information available below or by browsing our district or school websites.
All online forms must be completed before they are submitted. Consult our boundary maps to learn which school your child will attend and provide that information on the online form.
Once the online forms are submitted, you will be contacted by your child’s boundary school to set up a time to visit the school and provide the following records to complete your child’s enrollment. You may also email the needed records to your school’s main office. Required records are:
